What happened in the 2017 Final of the Champions League?
On 3 June 2017, Real Madrid added to the legend of the club in the European Cup. The Whites won la Duodécima thanks to their amazing 4-1 win over Juventus at the National Stadium of Wales. Cristiano Ronaldo was chosen as the man of the match in the final thanks to his two goals. The Portuguese forward opened the scoring, but before half time Mandzukic levelled things up. After the break, Real Madrid took control of the match and put in an exceptional performance in the second half with goals from Casemiro, Cristiano Ronaldo and Asensio. The final whistle signalled the beginning of the celebrations out on the pitch and saw Real Madrid become the first team to win the Champions League in two consecutive seasons.
